Popularly called ‘Coach Bashy’, Bashirat is a Life Transition Coach, Grief Recovery Counsellor, Author, Trainer and Humanitarian. She is the Lead at The Grief Recovery Hub, Nigeria's 1st Grief Recovery Centre based Abuja and Quest Crew Limited which is a solution and empathy driven coaching and consulting outfit based in Abuja, Nigeria -West Africa.

With over 13 years cumulative experience in humanitarian work, community and women empowerment, skills development, coaching, counselling and training.

Bashirat has worked, trained and consulted for organizations like Institute for Media and Society, Lumo Naturals, Learning Impact NG, SOBCA, Foliage Academy, Digibox, Ashake Foundation, Pro-Oratory Limited among others. She has a reservoir of resources that she deploys to help women, young people and organisations harness their potential.

As a practicing Helping Practitioner, she has carved a niche for herself in grief management and recovery, emotional and mental wellbeing, happiness and forgiveness strategy, inspirational storytelling and self-publishing.

In addition to coaching, counselling, writing and training, Bashirat has harnessed special skills in crowdfunding and has over the years raised millions of Naira for humanitarian causes.

Bashirat is a graduate of the prestigious Bayero University Kano where she bagged B.Sc.and M.Sc. in Mass Communications in 2011 and 2017 respectively. She has over the years acquired certifications in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP Practitioner and Master Practitioner) from The Priority Academy, UK; Diploma in Grief and Bereavement Counselling from KEW Academy, UK; Emotional Intelligence and Mental Health First Aid from CERCA AFRICA. She is currently studying Psychology at the International Open University, Qatar. Bashirat is also currently serving as Governor of CERCA Life Coaches.

Bashirat is a resourceful Speaker, Trainer, Writer and Life Coach. She is a published Author of Bestsellers such as From Pain To Purpose (2017), Help! There Is A Book In My Head (2019); Dispossessed (2019) and The Green Book of Forgiveness (2022)

Bashirat has been featured and interviewed on various media platforms to include: Daily Trust Newspaper, Blueprint, Armed Forces Radio, NTA International, Trust TV, Liberty TV & Radio. In 2018, she was named Woman Extraordinaire by Search Inwards Magazine.

When she is not working, you would find her spending quality time with her children, writing, exploring and bonding with nature, cycling and drinking tea while reading a good book.
